Watching porn

I had asked about this in a previous post but not as direct so here goes...

How many of you guys or gals watch any kind of erotic movies (softcore or hardcore) or anything with you siginifcant other? And if so, who leads the decision to watch them or pick them out?

And if so, how frequent do you watch?

Pior to kids, hubby and I watched porn together. Sometimes he picked them out, sometimes I did. Our only rule....... it had to have some kind of storyline.

We don't have any kids and my wife won't at all. Never have.

I used to watch porn regularly with my ex-girlfiend, but my current girlfriend has no interest in porn, and she hasn't had any interest in sex for the past few months.


I rarely watch porn by myself lately because it has lost its appeal. I would like to partake in some of the activities portrayed in pornography with my girlfriend, but watching porn and getting horny over it only serves to remind me of the sex I'm not having, so it has become a source of frustration rather than pleasure.

I tried using porn to get aroused with my wife and it did work, for me at least but she hated it. We used it to get me aroused enough so that we could concieve our children but as soon as she got pregnant if I suggested we use it again she'd refuse. Some women just don't like porn for some reason I guess. So you have to make sure your wife is into it before you download that movie for use in the bedroom.

We have four girls. Besides not wanting them to accidently see any of it, my husband says all he can think now is "That's some guy's daughter. I'd kill somebody for putting one of my daughters in a movie like this."

So, we've found other ways to spice up our sex life. Oddly enough, I read "trashy romance" novels. Reading certain passages out loud to him has replaced our occasional use of porn.

Nothing odd there. I travel often for work and frequently as my time away gets close to ending I will write my wife notes about thoughts for our time alone when I get home. (She has commented on occasion that I missed my calling and out to be writing those "trashy romance" novels.) Nine-times-out-of-ten those notes provide me the ability to begin our time together and build our anticipation even before I get home.

Every day is probably too much for most women. My wife, and reports on other boards is that women can go with porn on the marital bedroom TV about once a week.

I have had difficulty finding in-between erotic strip shows. There are porn shops with hard core, and then rated movies, but not too many women playing volley-ball naked. My wife objected to the hard core Adult movies with real sex. Just naked dancing women are sufficiently erotic for me.

There are some series of porn movies written by and directed by women that are more appealing than normal hard core movies. They tend to have an actual story to them instead of just the sex acts.

They are also a little harder to find.

My wife and I rent porn movies on occassion - maybe once every four or five months. My wife doesn't get particularly turned on by porn, but whenever I suggest it - which isn't often - she's interested in watching. I think her own interest is more simple curiousity than sexual stimulation. Unfortunately, we've had a rash of bad luck with the porn movies we've rented in the last year or so - the amatuer movies we've rented have all featured particularly unappealing males, and the mainstream movies have been pretty lame on all fronts, except for the undeniable attractiveness of the actors. I really wish porn would show more of an emotional connection between the actors. There are a few scenes that stand out in my memory in which the actors actually seemed to have a bit of passion for each other, but this is incredibly rare in my experience.
